The Answer
Part 1: Face to Face

Face to Face (Part 1)

So many people wish they could have been born during the time of Jesus Christ's ministry on earth. They love the idea of being in one of the crowds that heard his teaching first hand or saw a miracle take place or receive some of the bread and fish passed out in the multiplication. Pilgrims love to travel to Israel and walk on the shores of Galilee and imagine that they might be walking right in his footprints.

I personally think this is a better time to be on earth. We may be in the generation that sees the Second Coming of Christ. We may be those who look up to see: "Behold, he is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, and they also who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen." Revelation 1:7

After Jesus rose from the dead his body was changed into a glorified body and if you will recall, he appeared and disappeared to his disciples for forty days until he ascended into heaven. This glorified body has features that our natural body does not have. The nice thing is that we are going to get one too and this change will enable us to see Jesus as he really is.

Phil. 3:20-21 says; "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself."

We are told in 1 Corinthians 13:12; "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face." So yes, in heaven we will see Jesus face to face. We are not yet equipped to see Jesus as he really is - he had to tone it down when he showed up after his resurrection. He would have been too bright and powerful for those present to handle it.

Do you feel like you can hardly wait? Are you excited? What a glorious day it will be!
