I am living in a duplex and the woman upstairs is a friend and loved one. She can read palms like no other. I am afraid that there is an unwelcome spirit involved but she cannot see it. She is a woman devoted to the Lord but there is just something not right. Barn doors will open in the night which we closed the night before. One night the couch shifted and the door was wide open and two girls were here and said they heard someone singing outside. It was one in the morning. We hear things all the time and we are worn out and want to be rid of whatever it is. Please help.

You are correct. There is a spirit involved but I’m not so sure it is unwelcome. Your neighbor upstairs may be a beloved friend but she is involved in witchcraft. I cannot say for certain that she caused the spirit activity (maybe it has been there a long time) but it will be much harder to get rid of in these current circumstances.

You mention that your friend is devoted to the Lord but I must ask: which Lord is she serving? God’s Word clearly forbids participation in witchcraft of any kind. “There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.” (Deuteronomy 18:10-11) Palm reading is just one practice which falls under “interpreting omens.”

If you wish to stop this activity, you are going to have to cleanse the house and property. You literally have to kick out any demonic spirits who are there and are using your building and land in any way. You must take spiritual authority over anything unholy and apply the blood of Jesus to all you possess. This is where I have a concern.

Since I have the impression that you do not own the property and since a tenet is operating in an unholy way, how much spiritual authority do you have? Do you realize that if you have allowed your friend to read your palm you are giving agreement and access to the demonic realm?

I suggest you disallow any occult activity in your own portion of this home. I also suggest you seek direction and prayer from a strong Pastor in your area from a real Bible believing church to help you through the process of exorcism. Tell your friend to reject palm reading and any other unholy activities she may be involved in.

Begin to seek the Lord God, creator of heaven and earth, who alone is worthy to be served.
