Meeting Grace For The First Time – Romans 5:1

Wake Up Call

I can be a little bit shy about meeting people for the first time. Until the ice is broken and a relationship established, I don’t jump in with both feet – unlike some more “social” types. There is one close friend that I’m SO glad I got introduced to years ago.

We have a mutual friend and he was the one who opened the door to our deep friendship. It was Jesus and he introduced me to Grace. Romans 5:1-2 says; “We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this gracein which we stand.”

With Grace in the room there is freedom from guilt. That’s a good thing because I was really guilty of bunches. I still am as I go day to day but Grace is always standing by to relieve me. Grace keeps reminding me that the total price of my sin was paid in full on the cross. Grace prompts me to pass forgiveness on. Each time I do I’m spreading Grace’s much deserved popularity.

As far as I’m concerned, I wouldn’t like to go anywhere without Grace. We have been inseparable since the first day Jesus brought us together. Have you yet met? First you have to know Jesus and then he will introduce you. I promise you a warm rich lifelong friendship.

If you are shy, don’t be about this introduction. You’ll always treasure that day of meeting Grace for the first time.
