Interested in Results? – Isaiah 55:11

Wake Up Call

How important is it to proclaim God’s Word over every situation in your life? I would say it is critical if you are really interested in results. In fact, the difference between meager and full may be just how much of God’s Word you appropriate to your circumstances.

God tells us this: “So shall My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11) Sounds like a sure thing to me.

Practically speaking how does this work? Many of us know from experience that it doesn’t mean we can decide what we want and then find a verse of scripture that we hope agrees with it and start pounding away with it like a mantra. No, God says his Word will accomplish what he desires; it will succeed in the matter for which he sent it.

So, we have to pray to get God’s heart on the matter first and then ask him which part of his Word we should start proclaiming to bring his will to pass. This may take a little longer on the front end but it’s worth it for the outcome.

Once God’s Word is planted in the soil of your life’s circumstances you might as well start thanking him in advance for the answer. The results are inevitable. His Word will never come up empty and neither will you.
