What do we know about this guy who is going to be called the anti-christ? Before Jesus comes back again, Satan will take his last stand through this man and wreck havoc throughout the world. If the time is getting close, it’s worth being prepared.

To those who do not know or acknowledge God, he’s going to be quite impressive. In fact, because he will be “displaying himself as being God” (2 Thessalonians 2:4), many will be deceived and will worship him. One of the reasons people will be fooled is because he will mimic God’s power.

2 Thessalonians 2:9 says the man of lawlessness will perform “in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders.” Just like the magicians of Egypt who countered the signs of Moses by using their secret arts, so the anti-christ will be able to do great signs. Without being rooted in the truth, can you imagine how easy it would be to be hoodwinked?

We need to be on the lookout. We are told; “do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits…every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.” (1 John 4:1-2) The smart money says to filter every person, ministry, institution, and even church through that admonition. Who do they say Jesus is? To be prepared for the anti-christ regardless of how glitzy he performs, that’s our litmus test.
