Is God different in the Old and New Testaments?

Straight Talk

Question

In respect to our enemies, the Old and New Testament seem very different. In the Old Testament God commanded complete and total destruction of his people’s enemies. In the New Testament we are called to love them and turn the other cheek. Can you explain this?

True true, and God’s charactor is so complete and full of glory wanting in nothing.
The OT is such a gift to us as schoolmaster/plumbline for building on many levels, the blood line had to be right, heart wise which only the Father heart of God could know; Daddy God sees and knows all yet we look through the glass darkly. The NT is so wonderful and blooms out of the OT with such victory and passion from the Master Builder of the Universe for His children. WOW.
